The Frederick Striders Track & Field Club is a non-profit organization, established in 1989 to allow young athletes to participate in competitive track and field events. The club is open to youngsters from ages 6 to 18.

Athletes are given the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to compete in running, jumping and throwing events. During the course of the season, each athlete will compete in a series of local meets, as well as prepare to participate in the AAU Regional Championships, the AAU National Junior Olympics and other national events. Over 400 Frederick Striders have traveled and competed in the AAU Regional Championships and AAU National Championships.

Practices are held 3 times a week at Tuscarora High School located at 5312 Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick, MD.

Weekday practices are held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Saturday practices begin at 10:00 A.M. and end at 11:00 A.M.
